IV.Preserving  our  History

We live on the beautiful blackland prairie in northeast Travis County.  We have 115 acres and raise cows and hay.  It is hard work and the work never ends, but it is a way of life that we love.  We love to walk the land, smell the grass, see the wildlife, and watch the sunrise and the sunset.  Pelicans, ducks and cranes land on our pond during migration.  We must save the land for the wildlife as well as for agriculture.  Jody Krankel, Lund, Texas
